Delete your account

Last updated 28 July 2026

This page explains how to have your Kelma account — and the data attached to it — permanently deleted. It applies to the Kelma web dashboard and the Kelma Android app, which share one account.

How to request deletion

  1. Email privacy@kelma.chat from the address you sign in with, asking us to delete your account.
  2. We reply to confirm it’s you. If you can no longer use that address, say so and we’ll agree another way to verify — we will not delete an account on an unverified request.
  3. Once confirmed, your account and its data are deleted within 30 days, and we email you when it’s done.

There is no charge, and you don’t need an active subscription to ask. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first or tell us to cancel it as part of the request, so you aren’t billed again while we process it.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: email address, name, and profile picture.
  • Your agents, along with their settings, instructions, and share links.
  • Knowledge sources you added — crawled pages, uploaded documents, Q&A entries, and their indexes.
  • Conversations and messages held in your workspaces, including transcripts from every channel.
  • Leads and contact details visitors submitted to your agents.
  • Saved replies, team invitations, notification settings, and sign-in sessions on every device.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account afterwards, so export anything you want to keep before you ask.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Billing records — invoices and payment references, for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to hold them. These are financial records, not chat content, and we cannot delete them on request.
  • Encrypted backups — your data may persist in routine backups until they age out on their normal rotation, within 30 days of deletion. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.
  • Workspaces you don’t own — if you were a team member in someone else’s workspace, that workspace and its conversations belong to its owner and stay. Your personal details are removed from it and replies you sent are no longer attributed to you.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the dashboard or the app you can delete an individual conversation, a lead, a knowledge source, or an entire agent at any time, and it’s removed immediately. To have something else removed, email privacy@kelma.chat and describe what you want gone.

If you chatted with a business’s assistant

You don’t have a Kelma account, and this page isn’t for you. The business you were talking to controls that conversation. Ask them directly, or email privacy@kelma.chat with the business name and roughly when you chatted, and we’ll delete the conversation and any details you shared within 30 days.
